The recent U. S. Supreme Court ruling that overturned the anti-sodomy law in Texas is a glaring example of how even the federal judiciary has become a willing accomplice in this societal evolution.

Then, this week we learn that New York City will have the nation's first all-gay high school. Harvey Milk High School will be for GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered) students only.

Also, there is a new television network called the Pride Network with nonstop programming day and night geared towards a gay audience.

And speaking of television, have you noticed all the new shows popping up lately on cable and network television aggressively pushing the gay lifestyle? There's "Boy Meets Boy," a reality dating program designed for gay men to meet other gay men. And "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" is another program that puts gays in a position of authority on fashion. Others include "Queer As Folk," "Six Feet Under," "Will and Grace" and at least six other new sitcoms with openly gay characters coming to network television this Fall!

The United States is becoming a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah!

Unfortunately, most people are not aware of the extent that the pro-homosexual agenda is being carried out. It's time for Christians especially to snap out of their bloated, weak and apathetic way of life because we are just as responsible for allowing this moral decay to occur in our culture as anyone!

The primary goal of those who have chosen to engage in the homosexual lifestyle is to make their sinful and destructive choice seem acceptable to society and themselves. They want to force society to approve of both legally and ethically their choice of sexual behavior and relationships and to have laws in place that will allow them to promote the gay lifestyle to children as normal or even desirable behavior.

Regardless of what anyone says, a sin is a sin in God's eyes. No sin is worse than another. The sin of homosexuality is no different than murder, adultery, stealing, lying, gossiping or gluttony. But the reason the sin of homosexuality must be singled out and challenged is because those who commit it are proud of their sin and promote it as an acceptable way to live.

You don't see adulterers parading around celebrating their sin. Nor do murderers have political action committees working on their behalf to make murder legal. And people who steal are not creating clubs in high schools to push for making cheating an acceptable behavior.

Homosexuality is a SIN and is something to be ashamed of, NOT proud of!

This point is not even debatable on a theological level. All throughout the Bible from the Old Testament to the New Testament, homosexuality is defined by God as a sin. In fact, God calls it an abomination! Homosexuals have tried to argue otherwise, but the Bible is clear. The gay agenda has gotten so desperate that there is now a homosexual version of the Bible where they have literally changed the verses that call this act a sin. But, again, this does not change the truth found in the God-inspired, inerrant Word of God!

Furthermore, just because there is a homosexual denomination called the Metropolitan Community of Churches, the fact remains that God calls homosexuality a sin. If a church was started teaching that adultery was acceptable and moral behavior, I'm sure tens of thousands would attend on Sunday mornings. But that does not change the fact that God believes it is a sin!

There are two overriding lies that the pro-homosexual community has spewed on our society.

First, they claim that homosexuality is something that occurs naturally at birth. But modern science has not shown any verifiable proof that anyone is ever born gay! It is their choice, pure and simple! People choose to engage in homosexual behavior for whatever reason they create. Like every other sin, after you do it long enough it begins to feel natural. But it is still a choice that is made by the person doing it!

Second, they say that 10% or more of the population is homosexual. Every legitimate study ever conducted by the non-homosexual community has shown that less than 1% of the population has EVER engaged in homosexuality. Statements to the contrary are just false.

Predictably, anyone that speaks out against homosexuality is deemed as "intolerant" and a "homophobe." Just look at what happened to popular talk show host Dr. Laura. She has correctly pointed out on many occasions that homosexuality is a deviant lifestyle. As a result, her television show was targeted by homosexual activists and was removed from the air. I guess the tolerance that homosexuals want others to have for them doesn't apply to someone who opposes their views!

People who speak out against homosexuality have death threats lodged at them all the time. But that doesn't stop the truth from being heralded loud and clear. The homosexual community may get upset and throw a temper tantrum, but this is an issue that must continue to be discussed. The bondage of homosexuality has destroyed countless men and women and it is destroying families left and right.

The destruction of the family is one of the greatest problems our nation faces today. As President Bush correctly pointed out yesterday, God defines a family as a man and woman that are married and have children. But over the past 40 years, we have seen how perverted the idea of a family has become. The destruction of the family is the destruction of society. That is why this issue is so critical because it destroys everything that God intended when he created Adam and Eve.

Churches had better wake up and realize that while they have been building bigger buildings and getting fat, Satan has been roaming around using the sin of homosexuality to destroy the family. As much as God loathes homosexual churches, He is also intolerant of churches that accept homosexuality as a normal lifestyle.

Parents need to be aware that your daughters are being taught at school that it is acceptable to have sex with other girls, otherwise known as "lesbian chic." And your sons are being taught that having a boyfriend is "in." As I stated earlier in this article, the television is spreading this agenda and shoving it down our throats. But it is also being spread through music and in the culture as an acceptable and normal choice.

We are fortunate to live in a free society where people who choose to live a homosexual lifestyle has every right to do it. But people who oppose this lifestyle also have the right to speak out against it as well! Christians need to make their voices heard in the world. We should pray for those who are in bondage to the sin of homosexuality that God would open their hearts to the truth found in His Word, to turn from their sin and lean on God to change their hearts.

We will always have those people who choose to live the homosexual lifestyle for whatever reason they choose. And, we'll also always have people who choose to commit adultery outside of the marriage bond. Although Christians cannot accept these choices because they go against God's Word, we still must pray for God to help them overcome their sin.

I do not hate homosexuals. I am commanded by God to love them. And I do love them. And God loves them. He has not and will not ever stop loving anyone. He is patiently waiting for those who sin against Him to turn from their sin and come back to Him. God can deliver people from any sin because He is a God of forgiveness and restoration. Millions of people have turned away from the sin of homosexuality and have been restored to a life centered in the will of God. What He did for others He can do for anyone.

The choice of freedom from the bondage of homosexuality is just a prayer away! The choice is yours.
