South Carolina Pride: Gay Celebration in Columbia

SATURDAY, MAY 21
SCPRIDE 2005, 13TH STATEWIDE CELEBRATION!

SC Pride Parade and Celebration
Pride Parade will gather at 11am at the corner of Gadsen and Washington Streets (Near Memorial Park).  Parade will start at Noon and March to Finlay Park. The Celebration in Finlay Park will start at 1pm. 

Attached is a simple map of the route [http://www.scpride.org/parade.html] we plan to use.  We'll gather at point #1 and march the route to Finlay park.
*All volunteers should check in at the GLPM table in Finlay Park.

Sunday, May 22nd

Pride Worship Service
Metropolitan Community Church of Columbia, (1111 Belleview St), 11 a.m. Rainbow Candlelight Tribute, the first in a series of 6 services celebrating Pride. There will also be a ground-breaking ceremony for the new celebration center at 6 p.m.

SC Pride Picnic
The Pride Picnic will be at Earlewood Park in Columbia.  This event is non-media and will start at 11am.  Attendees can feel free to bring their own food or bring a dish to share with everyone.  There will also be volleyball. See Map Quest for directions.

Pride Film Festival: “Walk on Water”
Nickelodeon Theatre (937 Main), 3:00pm matinee, 7 and 9 p.m.
