Greenville, SC — Henri’ Thompson, LLC. managing partner Henri’ Thompson was recently selected by the Richard W. Riley Institute for Government, Politics, and Public Leadership as a member of the Diversity Leadership Academy. The institute offers a unique place for leadership in the United States and places heavy emphasis on engaging participants in public leadership, politics, and public policy.

“Henri’ is bringing new ideas to Greenville from his experiences with the United States Congress, at the American Constitution Society for Law & Policy, with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Baltimore, MD, and at Harvard University. He will add much to the group discussions and community endeavors as he is an extraordinarily bright young man, a fact which I have witnessed both in corporate and community service environments.  I know that Henri’ sees Upstate, South Carolina in a prime position to do many things, ranging from
attracting international companies to closing the racial academic achievement gaps that exist between historically underserved students and their more affluent peers.  Henri’s participation with the Richard W. Riley Institute will assure his role in advancing educational and economic equality and diversity in Greenville” says the Honorable Merl Code, former Associate Municipal Court Judge and South Carolina Blue Cross Board of Directors member.

Henri’ is the youngest person ever to be selected for inclusion into the University Leadership Academy.

A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Henri’ possesses an unyielding commitment to educational excellence for historically underserved young people and community service. As a community organizer in some of Baltimore’s toughest neighborhoods, Henri’ helped to provide affordable housing arrangements to teachers and police officers. His work in Baltimore and other parts of the country helped to establish the framework for the Henri’ Thompson Foundation.

The Henri’ Thompson Foundation works to promote greater equity for  historically underserved young people in four areas: education, public health, technology access, and community support. The South Carolina based foundation works with local, national, and international partners to close the academic achievement gap, promote the use of technology as a solution to the digital divide, and ensure adequacy in health care. By focusing on efforts towards these aspects of a young person's life, the foundation is giving young people a solid foundation on which to build a career and life that can improve their community and world.

Henri’ Thompson, LLC. is a full service management, policy and information
technology consulting firm providing strategy, application, and network and
infrastructure solutions to improve organizational effectiveness. The firm has a regional and national roster of clients including BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC., Black Entertainment Television (BET), United States Congress, National Urban League, Kwame Jackson of NBC's Hit TV Show "The Apprentice", Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Wachovia Corporation.
