Henri’ Thompson selected as Greenville, South Carolina’s Best & Brightest
PRESS RELEASE
June 14, 2005

Greenville, SC — Henri’ Thompson, LLC. managing partner Henri’ Thompson today was selected by the Greenville, South Carolina based publication Greenville Magazine Greenville First Bank, as a leader under 35 who exhibits “professional success and dedication to business, community and family”.

Henri’ has spent a lifetime serving others - as a community organizer in Baltimore, Maryland, a Corporation for National and Community Service VISTA volunteer with Harvard University, an assistant to the national director of education at the NAACP, and a legislative assistant with the United States Congress. In his service to others, Thompson has brought new ideas and approaches in pursuit of developing programs and partnerships to close the educational and economic divides.

“Many issues plague communities in and around where we live, but the race achievement gap is the most important educational challenge facing all communities,” says Henri’ Thompson. “Community and business service partnerships are imperative in strengthening underserved and underdeveloped communities where a significant portion of our society suffers socially, educationally, and culturally.”

Greenville Magazine will honor Henri’ and other leaders in the August 2005 issue of the magazine.

Thompson graduated from Anderson and the Johns Hopkins University concentrating on education, technology, and policy. He worked as a community organizer in some of Baltimore’s toughest neighborhoods, helping to provide affordable housing arrangements to teachers and police officers, and teaching technology skills to local youth and church groups.

The Henri’ Thompson Foundation works to promote greater equity for historically underserved young people in four areas: education, public health, technology access, and community support. The South Carolina based foundation works with local, national, and international partners to close the academic achievement gap, promote the use of technology as a solution to the digital divide, and ensure adequacy in health care. By focusing on efforts towards these aspects of a young person's life, the foundation is giving young people a solid foundation on which to build a career and life that can improve their community and world.

Henri’ Thompson, LLC. is a full service management, policy and information technology consulting firm providing strategy, application, and network and infrastructure solutions to improve organizational effectiveness. The firm has a regional and national roster of clients including BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC., Black Entertainment Television (BET), United States Congress, The Caraway Group, National Urban League, Kwame Jackson of NBC's Hit TV Show "The Apprentice", Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, NAACP Image Awards.
