Joe Erwin responds to news concerning potential base closings
PRESS RELEASE
May 13, 2005
The following is a statement from South Carolina Democratic Party
Chairman Joe Erwin in response to today's news concerning potential base
closings in South Carolina:
"South Carolina is very fortunate to have leaders in the United States
Congress like John Spratt and Jim Clyburn who have earned the respect of
their colleagues on both sides on the aisle and who are real leaders in
Washington. We owe them both a debt of gratitude for showing real
leadership and ensuring that South Carolina has been spared a major blow
in this round of base closings."
