SENATOR MOORE CONTENT TO ABANDON SC FAMILIES - STICK WITH FAILING SCHOOLS
PRESS RELEASE
May 11, 2005
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 11, 2005
Columbia, SC - In response to Senator Moore's press conference today calling on Governor Sanford to drop school choice as one of his priorities, SCRG President Randy Page released the following statement:
"It's unfortunate that the presumptive Democrat nominee for Governor has chosen to kick-off his campaign by abandoning South Carolina families and publicizing his disdain for giving parents and children an opportunity at a better future.
Rather than help improve the plight of families whose children are stuck in failing schools, Senator Moore has teamed up with the National Education Association NEA)
and their radical agenda, which also includes legalization of homosexual marriage and confiscatory taxation.
I am confident that Governor Sanford will continue to fight for school choice because it's the fair and responsible thing to do."
