State curbs highway projects
James from Bennettsville writes:

They want to raise gasoline taxes. Can you believe that? The states and Federal government already make twice as much on a gallon of gas as those who produce and sell it and we want to investigate them so what should we do with our elected officials?
All government entities in this state waste so much each year it is unbelievable. They drive the largest and most expensive gas guzzlers around. Then they party on our tax dollars and what is left they funnel back to their friends.
The DOT is the largest entity in the state that has no real oversight or accountability.
Gas taxes in the past are like social security funds. They have been wasted and spent on everything other than what they were intended for. We citizens already are paying tax on the tax we pay. Where will it stop? Governments insatiable appetite for money is like a cancer eating away at our very existence.
