South Carolina site promoting Judge Roberts
Benj Buck
August 21, 2005

From one site you can donate, needle Congress, or sign a petition to help Judge Roberts receive a fair and honest consideration for Supreme Court.

SCforJudgeRoberts.com, which is financed by Progress for America, is chaired by Daniel B. White, a successfull lawyer from Greenville.  The site acts as a mouth piece to emphasize the importance of the decision for Supreme Court Justice.  Chip Felkel, speaking for SCforJudgeRoberts.com said, "Too often the public doesn't pay attention to issues, resulting in elected officials assuming a pass."

The site claims, "President Bush has nominated a man who is experienced, ethical, and eminently qualified."  Felkel told SCHeadlines.com that the Democrats wont play by the same rules they expect the Conservatives to play by.  Commenting on Senator Leahy's recent comments, Felkel continued, "It's not about ideology, but whether [Roberts] is a good judge or not."  Of course, Felkel concluded, "He's qualified to serve."

Progress for America, Inc. ("PFA") seriously desires an honest apprasail of all U.S. Suprememe Court nominees.  They have pledged $18 million to insure fair considerations for nominees such as Judge Roberts.
