Home SWEET "Mini-Mansion"
Benj Buck
June 13, 2005
Have you seen The State today? Look at the front page. Look closely. Closer. You're looking at an elected state official's home.
Some might call it gorgeous, while others just consider it tacky. Many think it helps increase Columbia living, while others are discouraged by the loss of Columbia's historic homes. Developers, according to The State, have started developing "mini-mansions" in modest neighborhoods throughout Columbia. A 2,000 square foot home might find itself over shadowed by a 5,000 square foot "mini-mansion," such as Andre Bauer's new home.
Staff in Bauer's office confirmed on the phone that today's paper does picture Andre Bauer's "mini-mansion" sitting next to a Tar Heel blue, bungalow home.
